Okay, so you may have heard about the slime obsession a while back when literally everyone would want to play with slime and try new recipes for it. Honestly, it is a fun thing to play with and kill time, not to mention a great stress reliever, for me at least. But the problem arises when you get all hyped up and want to make our own slime at home, but find no proper recipe for it? Worry not fellows, you've come to the right place, because I'm going to be sharing the secret behind the perfect DIY fluffy slime, one of my favourites.
But first, what exactly is fluffy slime? For those who are new to this trend, it is among a unique category of slime made up of borax, glue water and shaving cream to give this gooey but fluffy consistency that kids could play with for hours. It may just be available online but making it at home is so much easier, so why not? With this recipe, you will keep your kids busy and satisfied for a while and have some time to yourself as well.
So lets' begin this DIY. The things you will need to recreate this satisfactory slime include:
1 cup of hot water
1 Tablespoon borax
1 cup of Elmer's white glue
3-4 cups of shaving cream
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons contacts solution
Firstly, mix the hot water and borax together until completely dissolved. Then keep that aside. In another bowl add the white glue, 1/2 cup water and shaving cream. Then add the contacts solution (this helps to hold the mixture together) and then stir. The mixture will start to come together, slowly add the borax solution tablespoon by tablespoon and keep stirring. At this point, adding some scent of food colouring can give a fun colour pop to your slime. When the mixture starts to pull away from the bowl, your slime is ready.
Slime is super enjoyable to play with, but with kids, you should take some safety precautions. Make sure that kids don't ingest the slime. There are edible slimes too, but this is just not one of those! Also, some kids might have allergies, so if they feel itching or redness on the skin, then take the slime away. Always wash hands with soap afterwards. Most importantly, if your fluffy slime is constantly in use, don't store it for too long, more or less a week, as it can cause infections and other problems.
So, why buy fluffy slime from outside when you can DIY it at home? That's right, this is my best and the favourite fool-proof recipe for the perfect DIY fluffy slime, I assure you, make this recipe once, and you will never have thoughts about buying slime ever again!
